FALL TRAINING DAYS: OCTOBER 24-26, 2008
Join CKUT for a weekend of hands-on trainings, discussions and presentations!
On Friday, October 24, CKUT and Media@McGill present Venus host Anna Leventhal
in a lecture titled, "Roots of Grass: An (Incomplete) History of Alternative Media
in Quebec." This multimedia discussion is FREE and will be held in Arts W-215
(853 Sherbrooke W.) at 7pm. For more information visit Media@McGill.

On Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 6pm, CKUT volunteers and staff give hands-on
workshops covering everything you want and need to know about producing stellar
community radio. All workshops will be held at CKUT Radio (3647 University) and are for
CKUT members only. Food will be provided. Check the schedule below.

Join us Sunday evening for our closing presentation "Campus Community Radio in Canada,"
4:30-6pm at The Yellow Door (3625 Aylmer). This discussion will feature locked-out CKLN
member Sharmeen Khan, plus representatives from CKUT Radio, and will focus on the
history of community campus radio, its function in today's media landscape, the difficulties this
type of media is facing and its future. Visit CKLN's "lockout page" for background on these issues.
